Last reviewed September 2026 · How we calculate estimates

Professional house cleaning is usually priced by home size (bedrooms and bathrooms, or square footage) and type of cleaning. A deep clean takes much longer than routine upkeep. Choose your home size, cleaning type and frequency to see a per-visit range and a monthly total.

Source: HomeGuide, 2026 house cleaning prices. *The 1-bed deep cleaning range is our estimate at 1.5× the standard range, since the source doesn't list it separately. Monthly totals assume 4.33 weekly or 2.17 biweekly visits per month.

Worked example: every-two-weeks cleaning in Ohio

A 3-bedroom, 2-bath home with standard cleaning every two weeks estimates at $135 to $180 per visit nationally. In Ohio (about 7.2% below the national price level), that's roughly $125 to $167 per visit, or about $272 to $362 a month at 2.17 visits per month.

Many services recommend starting recurring service with a one-time deep clean, which runs about $180 to $280 for the same home. After that, regular visits maintain the baseline and go faster.

Standard vs. deep cleaning

Standard cleaning covers routine upkeep: dusting reachable surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning kitchen counters and appliance exteriors, and cleaning bathrooms. Deep cleaning adds detailed work such as baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, inside the microwave, cabinet fronts, grout and built-up grime. It's typical for a first visit, spring cleaning, or before a move.

How this estimate is calculated

Each home size and cleaning type uses a published per-visit national range. The monthly figure multiplies the per-visit range by the average visits per month for your frequency. Choosing a state multiplies the result by that state's Regional Price Parity from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. See our methodology.
