This policy explains what information Local Cost Calculator collects, how advertising cookies work on this site, and the choices you have.
Local Cost Calculator ("we," "us," "this site") is a free, informational website that provides cost estimate calculators for home, auto, pool, and business services. This site is operated under Charlton Consulting LLC. This Privacy Policy applies to localcostcalculator.com and describes how we and our third-party partners, including Google, collect and use information when you visit.
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. When you select options or enter numbers into a calculator, that information is processed on your device to compute a result — it is not transmitted to us, stored on our servers, or saved anywhere. We do not require an account, an email address, or any personal information to use any calculator on this site.
Like most websites, our server and analytics tools may automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, approximate location (derived from IP address), the pages you visit, and referring URLs. This information is used in aggregate to understand site traffic and is not used to identify you individually.
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Google AdSense cookies | Serve and personalize ads, measure ad performance, and limit how many times you see a given ad |
| Third-party vendor cookies | Google's advertising partners may also set their own cookies or use anonymous identifiers to serve interest-based ads |
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
This site links to external resources, including pricing-guide sources cited on our calculator pages (such as HomeAdvisor, Angi, HomeGuide, AutoZone, and Housecall Pro). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Because our calculators process your inputs locally in your browser and do not transmit them to us, there is no calculator data for us to secure or lose. Standard web server logs are handled through our hosting provider's infrastructure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
